Just picked up my 2001 996 yesterday in NYC and drove it home to Akron, OH. Took me almost an 1 1/2 hours to just get out of Manhattan to I-80. Lincoln Tunnel was closed and everyone was trying to use the Holland Tunnel to get to New Jersey. Another 90 minute delay in Pennsylvania due to road 'work'. There were areas 'coned' off for miles with nobody even present to DO work. Some of these areas had traffic stopped or moving at < 5 mph for mile upon mile (sorry, just venting). The rest of the journey home was uneventful and a blast. If I had my Valentine 1 it would have taken me less time to get home, but it was sent for 'update' and hasn't returned as yet. Nice pic and even nicer car! I LOVE the color, but am obviously biased. Have you thought about changing the black Carrera logo to a silver logo? I did that to mine a while back and just like the contrast difference much better. Check out my avatar. Just a thought.
