Default help........

guys, any thoughts on what would cause my car to not crank or turnover at all. dash lights light up and the key fob works etc but there is no juice to crank the engine. tried a trickle charger and than jumping it off with another car, zero life.

thoughts? would a totally dead or bad battery cause this?

thanks

So no noise at all? No clicking, etc?

Could be a number of issues, from battery, starter, ignition key. The most likely is the battery, that is the usual starting point.

If you turn the lights on, and try to crank, do the lights dim? that would imply the starter does get engaged but there is not enough current capacity from the battery.

Cheers,

Mike

From what I understand, if it's a drive block/immobilizer issue, you can crank the car.

Depends on the car. My car does nothing when the imobilizer is armed.

OP. Turn your key to the run position and after the initial bulb check, does your imobilizer light remain on?
