I have the FVD SSK but my brother on his C4S has the FD SSK + Golden Rod with OEM clutch. No gear noise like mine but noticeable mechanical feel improvements on his too. Similar for him, he claims the Fister 3 now sounds like say a Fister 3.5 in the cabin. We concluded the other interior NVH could be attributed to say your suspension setup. The more harsher items like thicker sway bars, coilovers, upgraded susp bushings etc will add more overall vibration feel which just translates to more NVH. In our cases motor sounds too.

I've removed most compliance, from the suspension, shift assm, motor mounts, and have susp. pretty stiff. Again, NVH is not such an annoyance, that I regret it. Bad roads suck, but not because of the car, but because the road sucks :-)

I can't speak to the FD piece. I love those guys and their stuff so I'm sure it's top notch.

FWIW, I put in a semi-solid mount "while I was in there". Light weight flywheel, lsd, RS clutch, at the time JIc suspension.

The NVH is subjective:
On the plus side it sounded like an orgy of angels all having an orgasm at the same time on WOT.

Shifting a little nicer. Not much.

On the downside, in 6th on the road my wife and I could not have a conversation without raising our voices significantly. When the AC came on the whole car changed in vibration. I'm talking every time the AC clutch engaged.

Street / track use...I took it out.

Yes. Went back to stock. Admittedly new stock as I didn't retain the old one.

Just installed mine last night. I also have C4S with Fister III, PSS10, FD SSK, Golden Rod with OEM clutch. Not sure I feel more vibration, but definitely more noise especially now I can hear I think it's the clutch spinning under the center tunnel. I also do feel the improvement in the shifting but I will give it few weeks and see if the whirring noise is something I can get used to...

I have a loud whine in 5th with this FD mount. It may be because of the LSD. Has gotten better with miles or I got used to the new noises.
