I am buying a 1997 pastel yellow TT and it was originally a Germany car, it has an antenna on the roof that is not seen in the north american TT and it seems to be it is only available to the eurospec 993 TT, but can anyone tell if that is a ordered option or comes standard? Any ideas?

It's almost certainly a non-OEM mobile/cell phone antenna.

Given those are what look like a shot from the Porsche Museum and press photos I'll revise my answer to a phone antenna fitted as a part of a Porsche Exclusive option...

My turbo is equipped with an antenna just like the ones in the pictures. It´s probably connected to a cell-phone booster and the cars stereosystem. If a previous owner has not got rid of it the car should have a cell-phone holder and a microphone in the roof lining above the drivers window for hands-free calls.
