My track wheels are 996 C4S wheels. I'm running -2.7F/-2.1R camber. I'm thinking my ride height is the problem. Corded inner rear pass tire at MRLS this past weekend. Had to buy a couple of used 295/35-18's to make the drive home. Less than 1/2" clearance, and rubbed on a couple of bumps. Not sure if I should bring ride height up a few mm's to broaden my tire options. Really like how care sits/handles right now, but my 18" tire options are dwindling. Appreciate the help.

996 C4S wheels are the same as 996 turbo wheels with the exception of the turbo wheels being hollow. Many 993 widebody cars are running that setup with 315's. Do the tires rub on both left and right rear?

The fronts are the primary problem with rubbing. Just don't wanna rub in the rear, and my current tires are really close. Don't think I could go any wider, and surely nothing over 25" OD.
I'd really have no problem staying with this set up, other than I am finding very few options of both sizes, being available, at the same time/tread pattern.

Have 295s in rear and that's all I can fit w/o rubbing. When I tried 235s in the front, I rubbed inner lip of fender, inner front of well liner, and rear area of inner well. As it stands now, I'm running out of options for available tires. They're getting away from some of the 18's that used to be available. Thanks for any insight.
Paul Faieta from Protosport in NJ set up my car, so I don't have specific #'s, but we definitely got things to fit with camber, rear spacers and I did zip tie the right front fender liner, plus I had both front fenders rolled after I can-opener sliced up a set of front tires from the fender lips at Watkins Glen several years ago. But now everything fits.

993TT's (maybe 2S's & 4S's too) have one of the rear hubs run 5-6mm further in, I believe it's passenger side, not sure, Couple of Friends of mine ran 15mm & 20mm on rear to get perfect fit. I Vaguely remember a slight rub on one side when I ran 11x18 45et's with 315's on Lowered 993tt, did not roll fenders.

Default Happy with my Tramont Cups

I decided on these Tramont's out of France. Only real negative is the weight, they are quite a bit heavier than I thought they would be.

+1, look great. Would be interested in the numbers if you weighed them. I enquired about a set in 2004, 9s and 11s and they told me the weight was "about 10kg" and the centres are low pressure cast with heat treatment.

I never believed those quoted weights so passed....., but like I said, look superb
