Getting into the CTR2 and pulling the door shut reveals the first surprise...the flat door cards with the cloth pull hands make the doors feel distinctively light in hand. The fit and finish is the typical german minimalist style we all love....green typeface on black dials, integrated roll cage with trim covering disguising it in the A pillars and roof.

The thing that always attracted me to the CTR2 was its look and exterior styling. Having driven and owned Ruf cars previously, I know they are about performance first and foremost. I have not been disappointed.

Trundling along in 2nd or 3rd, mash the right foot and the turbos begin a furious spool, slightly hesitant at first with a slight degree of lag.....followed by a shriek and howl of turbo spin and induction note....punctuated by whistles from the BOV when you come off throttle. The surge reminds me of the analog feel of the F40...boost comes on so suddenly and totally that the car surges forward with you pressed in the seat. Its the type of performance profile that keeps you coming back again and again for the same feel...it just never gets old. The thrust is relentless up through the gears and you feel its every bit as good for the advertised 217mph.... and feels faster than the quoted 0-60 time of 3.6s.

Spectacular. It's nice when things fall into place and the end result is more that you imagined. Congratulations and enjoy.

What color is that? Looks very luminescent.
Hi, thank you. The car had a few paint chips in the front and it was decided that the best thing to do was to pull all the windows and rubber, and do a bare metal respray. I met Alois and Estonia at Quail this past summer and they knew I wanted to continue with silver. They brought 3 paint swatches with them, and in the end , we decided on the "Liquid Metal" silver they had used on one of the CTR3. The paint turned out beyond my expectations. I'll post a pic of the CTR3 in that color and a pic of the paint when it was being applied.

Ruf went through the engine, brakes, suspension, interior...goal was to "feel like you have a new car when we deliver it" according to Alois.

Well, that's a very fitting name, because it does look like melted flowing metal. Are the wheels painted the same color? Almost looks like it.

Wheels are standard "chrome optic" RUF wheels
