Yeah, that is exactly the type of car I will probably be looking for. I don't even mind if it's been repainted or had a minor accident repaired, since it will be a driver and I'll own it forever. It's just a shame that a 90k-mile repainted car will cost what a 15k-mile garage queen would have cost 3 years ago, but what are ya gonna do?

It's cool to learn there are guys from my generation in here.

I visited a few specialty dealers in London last week and they were telling me that they see no end in sight for air cooled price increases. It's kind of crazy because their currency is valued at quite a bit more than ours and they're talking the same numbers, but in £. Pretty crazy. I mentioned that I have two cars and they turn the conversation to trying to buy either of my cars. Pretty hardcore market.

If they're looking for USD-to-GBP flips, there's no shortage of cars to buy for that kind of money. eBay, Cars.com and Autotrader have a ton of $160k+ 993TTs that haven't been going anywhere. If I were a multimillionaire and not especially sensitive to price, shopping for a 993TT right now would be like buying a Camry.

The sharp price increase bring more problem to people like me by 50+ age,
scary of driving trough paranoia of accident, put more miles ecc....
only passion has kept me until now not to sell, but my ratio is tryng again and again to convince my heart that is time to sell now.
I bought a Carrera 3,2 with 100k milies on February and put 2.000 miles in short of time, drove to the Ring and drive no matter what is going on by weather, this is what I want to do in future, not just admire it in the garage and worry about a lot of things
This is very sad about it and while I'm not weahlty, considering selling is an option that make me think a lot about it

True that most of those cars sit forever. Only way to get that kind of money is to have a very low mile perfect car. But I would guess if you price your good condition 50-80k mile tt for $130 you would sell it fast. Still a 100% increase in value over the last 24 months.
