Be sure to budget in a cooling system overhaul at some point since these engines all have potentially failing coolant lines; it isn't cheap.
No such problems on the 993tt
True enough, but this is a very rare problem, a few dozen cars vs thousands of 996tt, 997tt, 996gt3, 997gt3, 996gt2, 997gt2 and all the RS versions in production who've had no issue.
I've had 4 997 turbos with over 120k mi of driving, lotsa track too, no issue. I think I'm the norm rather than the exception.

Here in Florida it seems to change! Took my wife to a nice restaurant the other day and they moved a Ferrari 458 out of the way so I could park the 993tt outside the lobby! first time at that restaurant and we will very likely go back
Love this one... Both are amazing cars but they must respect their elders.

You know you will be there 3 days a week now.
At least 3days a week!
It's definitely changed a lot over the last 18 months. The 993tt is finally appriciated the right way. Go to a car and coffe with a 993tt and it gets a lot of attention. Way more than the modern 911 turbos.
