No, it is a standard single plug with k24.
My understanding is that it is a RS Tuning Step II engine.

A couple more pictures of the GT....

I don't think that is the stage 2 RS Tuning kit. I calculate peak of 506PS @6200rpm from that torque curve. It says RS cams and K24 so cams from the 993RS (which they did use on the 520hp kit) maybe the K24s are a smaller compressor wheel version.
The low range torque looks nice - good to hear that Porsche employees know the best address for Porsche engine tuning

Thank you for your well educated observation and remarks.
I was under the impression that the 520 hp was the stage 2 from RS, you are obviously very knowledgeable on the RS tuning!

Yes the stage 2 is 520 but from that torque curve you don't have 520 but you do apparently have K24s. RS Tuning used their own version of K24 for the stage 2 kit which they called the K24/26RS. I am surmising that you have regular K24/24 turbos (like the 450kit which I think you have on your '98 I think ?) or maybe slightly modified K24s..... It just means you will have slightly better response than with K24/26RS but slightly less top end power - all good

You got close to the actual hp, see below ...

[QUOTE=cebe;12180296]You got close to the actual hp, see below ...

Ahh, that is interesting, I didn't look so far down the torque curve to see that the peak power occurred at peak torque (and in fact I got it wrong anyway at higher revs )!
These definately look like regular K24/24 turbos, the RS version with the K26 compressors go up to 52XPS and have more area under the curve from 5000rpm. I will upload a typical 520 curve next week.

The comments at the bottom say you will get 15PS more power with overboost, the dyno does not show this as it is braked hp rather than "dynamic" hp

Could you post some pics of the oil cooler for the trans and the plumbing into/out of the trans? Thanks

Overboosted, I should have a picture and will try to get it for you.

I am just back from a 450 km epic jorney across the Alps from Stuttgart to Lugano in order to retrive the GT, following some pictures.

The torque above 4000 rpm is brutal, the noise is brutal, the heat is brutal, ... and I like it.

The only thing I do not like is the racing clutch: very, very heavy and only on-off ... I bumped into a traffic jam on the autobahn and moved at snails pace for two hours ... dreadful!

Now that's one pretty car! You could put studs on it and race the St. Moritzerzee next winter.

As promised a few pictures from my trip back from Stuttgart.

The pick-up at the train station.

In the countryside.

Almost home: San Bernardino tunnel entrance.

An almost artistic picture ...

As requested, one picture that shows the extra oil radiator for the transmission.

Hope you like it.

Ciao

Car looks superb - well done

Here is the K24/26RS 520hp power curve. This isn't mine it is the curve which RS use as an example of the 520 kit.

The clutch should not be how you describe, if you fit the Sachs 890NM kit it will be similar to stock.

Thank you for posting the graph.

I have the Sachs 890 Nm Kit on my 964 turbo 3.6 (390 real hp on dyno) and it is smooth as butter compared to this one.

I will get the current clutch specification from the Porsche engineer the built the car, but he told me that they had to go to a full racing set-up as the AWD installed was causing the road clutches to slip.
The car has a central viscous coupling that is not a standard turbo, but allegedly a motorsport prototype.
You can feel that the front traction engages very aggressively under minimal real weels slippage (starting on low friction surface for example).

I will come back with more info.

When you get that thing back up on a lift or stands, could you take a few detailed pics of the plumbing and installation location of the transfer cooler? Thank you
