Talking SharkWerks 993TT Project - Bilsteins, Cargraphic & HREs

We don't always modify 993TT's here but when we do... This lovely black on black 1997 example was well taken care of and only had about 40K on it when she came in. We cooked up a nice three course meal for her including the EVOMSit Software, Cargraphic exhaust and Billet EVO Diverter Valves for a nice power boost. The stock suspension was replaced with Bilstein's PSS10 coil over kit and a set of H&R sway bars. For dessert she got a set of light weight HRE Competition Series C100 wheels wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires.

First order of business is to get the factory ECU out from under the seat. A 91-octane EVOMSit retune was coded for more power, response and of course boost:

Off comes the factory top-mounted intercooler to get access to the engine:

The factory bosch diverter valves are replaced with a better billet piston design sans the rubber diaphragm which splits in the stock part.

The Cargraphic exhaust and its deeper Euro-tone was chosen for some more sound:

Lighter and vs the stock mufflers:

And installed:

The Bilstein PSS10 coil over kit with its 10 dampening settings ready to go on:

In place of the factory suspension:

Ewww:

That's better:

They stiffer and adjustable H&R sway bar is installed along with upgraded stainless steel braided brake lines:

And in the rear:

New lowered ride height next to its water-cooled 996 Turbo brother:

But we're not done yet....

With stock wheels:

Light-weight HRE C100's installed:

Close-up:

Satin bronze finish:

Staggered front and rear:

Time to go home...

Love it, very nice mods. I am about to put the same suspension on my 993 Turbo.

Great job. Hate the wheels, but the imo the Turbo Twists are the best looking wheel ever made.

Thanks and no worries.. these ones were curbed so once they're fixed he'll have the option

I think it makes a world of difference... I always liked the PSS9s on these cars and the 10s are no different in that regard.
