what tires are you running?
Did an advanced search and most threads are old
Looking to put new shoes on my baby. Currently has Pilot Sports with lots of tread but 07 codes. I get a little nervous at triple digits on old tires so I want to go new
Will be using stock wheels or perhaps .5" oversize. Concerned big rears will only tend to enhance understeer
Would like SS's but they don't come in the right size and I like the 18" look with the car and as a good all-around size and weight, .... but....
But anyway, what are folks running that they feel affords more than a "look"
Thanks in advance

The most recent tire threads are on the 993 Forum, not the Turbo section.
My Kumhos SPT's have been great. Can't beat the price. Running 295/30/18 and 235/40/18. Wheels are SpeedLines Daytonas and are a 1/2 inch over stock OEM sizes.
I plan to have a set of 996 hollow spokes refinished (so I can change-up my wheels when I want a different look), and plan to put Yoko Advan's AD08 on them. Either 295/30/18 and 235/40/18 or the combo of 295/30 and 225/40.
Michelin Super Sports would be the ideal answer, but they are not available in our sizes. I have PS2's on the Boxster, and they are excellent, just $$$. Maybe some day I'll try a set on the Turbo, but I just can't get past the price gap vs the Kumhos. I am not out-driving the Kumhos. That's why my next set will be the Yokos. Kind of in between in price. I'll be interested in seeing if I can tell a difference.

Another tire which is very well priced and I would re-buy is the Continental Extreme DW, perfect for street and spirited driving, amazing wet traction too.

Looking to replace my tires too. Wanted conti but cant find the right size with N rating. Wondering if it is ok to run non-N rated tires for daily use only. Fastest i drove is abount 200 km/h only.
