Default spark plug wire set

can anyone tell me if spark plug wire set #965 602 031 98 is the correct set for my 1996 993TT

specifically, im wanting to know if the boots at the end of the wires are the correct ones.

i read in some previous posts that a spark plug wire set bought as part of a group buy did not have the correct boots and the old ones had to be swapped over.

i dont want to make the same mistake.

thanks

There is no such thing as a Porsche number for a lead set, 96560203198 is a made up number

do not buy those.

They have little bumpers at the top of the boot that make them impossible to install on at least a few plugs.

You can buy the OEM wires from parts.com for the same price at the pelican joints.

no good boss.

You see the two little humps on the top of the boots? Unless you shave those down, they will get in the way of what I believe to be the turbo oil feed hoses on the drivers side. Not sure how the fitment is on the passenger side as I just stopped at that point.

The beru set I got from pelican didn't have boots that screwed off either, so I couldn't even replace the boots with the original ones.

If you want to mess with, I'm sure you can make it work. I didn't. I simply tested my old ones (which turned out to be fine) and sent those back.

we have always used that set from worldpac...has the little bumps that we shave off and they worked just fine....not wanting to disagree with anyone but just giving my 2 cents.....seems any ignition wire set is a pain in the but to change on the twin turbo because of the boost hoses....good luck....vinnie

if you want to shave them down, yes they will work. I'd stick with the oem ones at the same price, but thats me.
