current 993 turbo s values
Hi, have been looking at getting a 993 TTS but am wondering how much they are actually selling for these days. A broker has found one with an asking price $160K with 18000 miles. black on grey.
Assuming that this is a pristine car (I have not seen photos yet); would this be a good ballpark figure for such a car?
thanks for your help!

That sounds really high to me. I'd think more in the $110 to $125k range.

Assuming it's a very clean TTS with no stories and a full PPI doesn't reveal any issues, I think $160 is a fair price. Not too many TTS's around so it's not as if you have a good selection to choose from.

This would have been my gut reaction on a '96 TTS. A '97 may get a few more $k. But in the end, supply and demand, desire for a certain color, etc., and the heart wants what the heart wants.
993s are getting rarer in the US (more then a few 993's finding their way back across the Atlantic of late) and a TTS is the rarest of the breed.
But $160K seems on the high side for a non museum piece, given recent opportunities.

twin turbo s
the twin turbo S's on some websites are asking $185 to $190K for 9000 mile cars. that's all I have to go on at this time. I haven't seen any of these cars in the 18000 mile range, selling yet, so it's a guess for me how much they would sell for.

I'll give you an idea of what TTS examples (mint) went for back in 2006.
Back then, a friend of mine was looking for 993TTS. There were 3 such cars and ,believe it or not, all were in the 8k miles range, single owner, similar overall mint condition. Difference was in color: Silver, Black, and White. Asking price was: $115,000.
Yes each one of them owners, asking price: $115K !!!
Now that was 2006 !!! Great mint cars, and prices.....
Hum....may be my comment is of no relevance to your search....sorry!!!!
GL with your search!

unless you intend to keep it as a museum piece and maybe maybe maybe an investment, I don't see the point of buying an S.
Sure you get a few goodies here and there including the vented fenders, but the value proposition vs. what you get with a standard turbo just isn't there for me.
sure, I'd like an S, but I wouldn't spend 80k more than an 18k mile turbo to get one.

I paid quite a bit more for mine (with no regrets), with 8k miles, unusual color and in excellent condition, about a year ago. These cars are pretty rare, so I think the price depends on the specific example. $160k could be a reasonable price. It's a small market of buyers and sellers...

My guess would be $140-150. If it is truly mint, I'd put it at $150k at the present time. i would certainly pay the $$$ to have an appraiser throughly check the body over to be absolutely certain that they paint is 100% original and then get the PPI.

There is a black/black TTS that Sloan has had listed for over a year with 9,710 miles. When I was speaking to him a year ago regarding one of the '97TT's he had listed he mentioned that his bottom line on the TTS was 160k. Single digit mileage price indeed. I have no idea as to the condition of this car.
There's no such thing as a '96 TTS to my knowledge.
