Default new pics -2- side and front

I really think a 993TT like whale tail would look great on the rear... not a big fan of the aero package wing that comes on the 997 from the factory nor the aftermarket wings on the market for the 997. No one has a 997 wing that flows and just looks right the way the rear spoiler does on the 993TT....

19's (thinner spokes and different finish). They look awesome. They will be the first mod to my Turbo R.

Default yes

yes they are the 19's your right.... they are 70mm offset in rear so running an H/R 7mm spacer.... Fronts are 8.5 and rears x11. Nice wheel but no mystery that they are heaveir then most wheels in this $ range. They are the only none Porsche factory OEM wheel I would run on a P car IMO...... unless there were some 19 fuchs out there, that could be interesting in a retro way depending on the finish etc...

I think the GT3 rear spoiler would look good with the car as is. The -7 GT3 spoiler resembles the 993 GT2 spoiler of yore.

Default not sure

The only wing I have found after searching high and low that even come close to resembling a 993 like wing is this by speedart, and its way to much money, 4+K.....

I don't think that wing looks as good, and from the front quarter it wouldn't match the lines that are created by the new front lip. I think the GT3 wing would be tops.

Default I do agree

yes this wing IMO doesn't look all that great but based on wings out there that sweap from the deck lid (like the 993TT style) this is the only one, then the curl the sides down instead of up The wing in your sig is the wing I want to be honest or close to that style. the sides that sweap up would flow with the lip IMO. Too bad nothing out there like that for the 997.... thanks for the note, I will look at the gt3 wing again as well. take care

Try to get a front quarter angle shot of the speedart wing - the whaletails have always had the optical illusion (to me at least) of going down on the near side when shot from certain angles.

Here's an update on the spoiler Steve chose for his purposeful yet subtle 993 GT2 nod:

Unique, perhaps 19" would fill the gap a little better

Old thread and my old car. They were 19 RUF wheels
The gap was due to the way the car was parked on uneven surface.
The. At had techart coil overs and sat lower then this pic shows.
The wing was from a 997tt and was fully functioning with hydraulics easing and lowering the upper wing blade at speed...

And if the day a base 997, but had fun modding it.
Some pics... to add to this ancient thread
