Least desirable color
Of all the colors the 993tt was available in, which would YOU say is the least desirable if you were looking to purchase one. I'm looking at buying one and would like to see what this group thinks when it comes to colors. Thanks...

Of the factory colors? I've never met a 993 that I didn't like. Obviously, I like Arena Red most. I love the look of black, but would never again own a black car.

I agree with Steve. I have never seen a 993 that I didn't like and I agree that although black is stunning when clean. I don't feel like washing it everyday to keep it looking that way. Best wishes - Jay

I recently saw and discussed a purple TT. (by the way, Porsche makes or has made a grayish purple called Vesuvio that is quite nice.....this car was not that color) That car got a few raised eyebrows. It seems that some of the real odd colors are something you either hate.... or.....that is the reason you want to buy that car.....because of the odd color. I cast a vote for the best color......speed yellow. Worst may be hard to say.

Well, OK, I have to defend black here. I LOVE IT! No other color shows the lines and curves of the car as well as black does IMHO. It does require more washing, but hey, that's part of the fun isn't it! Bumper cover respray matches are a piece of cake too, which is good news for those who run DE's.
My second favorite color would be speed yellow.
Other than some of the custom colors, Vikings Purple comes to mind, I don't think I've seen a bad factory color.

I stand by our poster from MN, black is the new .... um black. But yes, the clean thing is always an issue, and the sun damage can really show if you don't take care of it. Fortunately I have a little cousin who happens to be a detailing freak though, so that's not a problem anymore.

993TT colors--this bod looks good in anything!!!
All of the regular factory colors look good.
You can go to your local Porsche dealer and have them show you
a color chart by Year and Model, they are fun to look at.
All of the following look great: Black, Midnight Blue, Arena Red, Gaurds Red, Polar Silver,
Speed Yellow, etc.
good luck.

British racing green
Way back in early 1995, just before I took delivery of my 993TT, there was this 1994 Turbo 3.6 in the Porsche dealer in Long Beach with very low mileage. I believe they were asking $90k at that time. The problem, it was in British Racing Green (apparently the owner got it custom painted by the factory). I remember the salesperson in that dealer even telling me that he would let the car go for $75k but that if it was his own money he would not buy that car.
