Damnit! Betrayed again!
To clarify: I quite like the 944. But Pano seems to have an article in every issue about some 85 year old guy who has a fairly common car that he's never driven except to the mailbox once a year.

Ha! Not too far off base unfortunately.

Something on which Octane has missed the boat is failing to track down and include historical photos of the cars, throughout their lifespans, in their articles about historically significant cars. I frequently do a google search of a subject car, while reading an article in Octane about it, and find many historical photos of the car that would have added measurably to the overall context if included in the article. I know that getting copyright authorization to print photos can be tricky, but think that it's worth the effort. Hopefully 000 won't make the same mistake.

Really good feedback.

We've been, and still are, looking at a lot of things, and the climb has been STEEP even for the prototype issue, which is very much a prototype. One of the things I am noticing are the opportunities (and responsibilities) that come with moving the frequency to 4 instead of 9 or 12. That's as I hoped, but actually far better. Your thought helps hone—so thank you.

Pete,
Are there any thoughts for a cheaper digital subscription, for those not able or inclined to go the paper/hardcover routes?

No—there is so much available on digital platforms for free or very little cost, and we don't feel digital is the best platform for the experience or product we want to create. It would also be a bit like PCA offering Panorama on the newsstand or separate from membership in the club. Nice idea for obvious reasons, but one has to know what their product is while respecting and doing right by their primary customers.

I'll wait 14 months til I retire. Ever since I get internet on every flight @ $60/month, I end up working in the air on the 150 flights I used to read on.

Can't keep up with Excellence, Panorama, Autoweek, C&D, NW Flyfisherman, Fly Fishing, Racer and my Orvis catalogs, as it is!!!!! Print overload....

Received the first 'prototype' edition yesterday. I've only had the opportunity to flip through and read a few paragraphs here & there, but wow... This is easily the pinnacle of Porsche-centric periodic journalism I've ever experienced. So well designed & executed that it 'feels' Porsche.

Well done Pete - looking forward to a few hours in the Eames to properly immerse myself.

Man, that's a good looking 997 RS. White with white gold and no stickers—well done. And thank you (!) for subscribing—you did so in time to get Issue 000, which will go out with the next mailing for that issue.
