Talk to your insurance about getting a MA certified appraisal of your car and upping the coverage. I'm also in MA, and worked with a great local appraiser and Safety upped the coverage based on the appraisal. This was a while ago, and I'm in the process of re-doing it as the value went up. They didn't cover me for the full appraisal, but they went up considerably from the cash value (blue book). Let me know if you want the appraiser contact (he's a Porsche guy too!). I contacted Leeland West based on ads in Panorama, but they don't cover Massachusetts.
Can you PM me the appraiser contact info? Or, put it in the forum--I'm sure he wouldn't mind the exposure! Thx.

I'm also in MA and use Safety Ins. They gave me a complicated explanation about using replacement values and comparables and basically talked me out of getting agreed value ins. They claim that the blue book value wouldn't really apply. But, I'm not so sure and have been thinking about changing the policy . .

I also have both my Porsche insured with Hagerty (1965 356sc and 1997 Carrera s)....both insured for $90,000 and will be increasing the agreed value on both. Note: they give pretty good quotes for the classic 356sc ......not so much for the Carrera s..............a little under $1,000 each. I live in Mass.
