Default Unmolested & now

Found some old pics of my 992 taken in year 2000, the only mod meting the Billy Boat mufflers that came with the car. It also came with hollow spoke 18" wheels and Litronic headlights, Option 220 and a few other goodies. Damn, I should have left the car alone, but that's not in me. And note the utility wires in the TOP photo; they have since gone underground, a good thing.

I like it, cars are meant to be customized, it makes it more "you."

To each his own, but I like the before, although it's sits a little too high.

Either way, very nice ride.

Default It was high...

But now not so much. The car has a MCS 2 way coil over set up...it's lower, but still steetable. I have all the original take off parts so I can go back to a bone stock exterior if need be...I hope that need never surfaces.

You need to go back, same place, lighting, angle, time of day and get another pic. That'd look cool with all of the changes.

I definitely like the after! The stance, MY02's, taco holders and wing all look great, and improve the handling characteristics. Great idea by Overboosted28 to go back and do a re-shoot from the same location.

I like both the stash and the wing. The 993 is an odd car as its beauty is somehow lost in pictures. That goes for the wing and the stash. I purchased a front spoiler stash but its quality was so bad I never installed it. Looks like you have a nice install.

Default appreciate the comments....

I'll be putting the wing to work at Laguna Seca in early August.

I happened across some old CDs the other day. Wouldn't you know it, I had this 964 RS 3.8 wing in the past, albeit sans "Taco Holder" front splitters...used the 993 RS splitters. This was not/is not a good combination...the wing is creating downforce, and the 993 RS splitters don't do much...are not a good match.

The wing, at 100+ does create some downforce and can lead to some nasty understeer. This happened to me...I went to turn in on a decreasing radius turn Turn 9 at Willow Springs Raceway), but the car said no, we are going to take an off track excursion. Somewhat minimal damage, cracked a side skirt, which was repairable...it unfortunately looked repaired. That was about the time the 993 RS wing went back on, and the wing went to another Rennlister, at a financial loss, of course.
