Default Window problem

While rolling the passenger window down today, I heard some crunching sound and the window move very slowly and seems out of alignment. After a couple inches it refuse to move any further. I can hand pull the window up a bit as well so looks like it's loose.
I can hear the motor running with the switch but the glass just not moving. Does it mean the switches are okay? I'm going to take off the door card and see, is there any common failure points in the window mechanism? Thanks.

Chances are your window seat (where the glass sits) rusted out and gave up. I have part numbers I can send you tomorrow. Pretty simple fix.

If that is what happened and you are looking for a used part let me know. The same thing happened to me on the drivers side, I bought a set of used parts from Parts Heaven thinking I would do both sides but it turned out the passenger side was fine. I also have new rubber for the channel. The used part is in good condition.

I had the same problem with my 930 with similar window mechanics. I just removed the part and repaired it. Lasted many years.

Thanks all! Looks like the pair of rails are not cheap...
Frank, I might be interested in your offer after I have taken it apart. Thanks.

Just because one side is bad doesn't mean they both are. Sunset messed up when I ordered and sent me both sides so I checked the driver side before I sent it back. Looked perfect.

Hi, for those who have done the window repair, how did you make the window glass and rubber seal stay in the rail? My passenger side is also having the problem, got the new rubber, but can't not get the rail securely grabbing onto the rubber. Any help appreciated.

I remember not being able to get everything fully seated. It was about halfway in the seat but I havent had any issues and its been years.
