What are your thoughts? Should I trade it? Both in excellent condition.
Consider an investment only interest (because I just adore the Turbo).
TIA. Best regards

given my turbo's mezger is pushing nearly twice the power out the rear it is surprising how wistfully i recall and miss my ol 993 c2.
i have concluded that the only real solution to this is to have both.

Right, but I can't have both.
Problably this helps: I don't DD the Turbo. I take it for a ride when I need to feel alive. It has 62.000km (about lesa than 40.000mi, I think).
The 993 is from 94 with 120.000km (65.000mi I think).
The top soeed I managed to achieved in the Turbo was 240km/h (120mi). I've never get the road for more.

I own the 993 and have driven both.
But who cares what I think, the market has already spoken on the 993 vs. 996.
A run-of-the-mill 996TT is the performance bargain for sure. However, history will not look at it as a collectible, merely because of the high production numbers. Oh, and it is arguably the ugliest 911 variant ever built.
The 996TT is not great car for an investment, IMHO. The 993 is.

To be clear sometimes more is less my brother had an 911 SC and he upgraded to a 930 Turbo. Due to the lowered base compression the Turbo required more focus and higher revs drive it in stop and go traffic and I think he missed the SC. The 993 has great performance and the climbing to the 4500 rpm range has a little rush as the torque builds. A 997 Turbo is more of a smack you in the seat kind 'a car where wind up can be so fast there is no time to have a perception of it. Be sure you are really sure of what you want as you don't want to be disappointed as even a slight disappointment with added maintenance costs will annoy you later.
