Default Shop near L.A.: need advice please

I have a cam-chain gasket leak that I've tolerated for several years now as it has dripped oh-so little on the garage that I just didn't want to spend the coin. But now it's dribbling more, and on the exhaust so it smells like the dickens!! Time to get the gasket replaced, but I've heard that it can be done without doing a full engine out job (hence, cheaper) ...true or false?

1. Please recommend a good shop that can do the job in the Los Angeles/SanFernando area.

2. Anyone try this place in Santa Clarita?

Big TIA, all!!

No sir, Pas is not too far. My priority (clearly, like all of you here) is that the work is done correctly! This and a fair price, of course. My preference is not to have to drive far as I have to consider the wife helping me get to and fro. But Pas ain't out of reach. So yes, please, recommend away!

BTW, anyone know for certain if the cam chain housing gaskets can be done without an engine removal?

Yes...Many threads re timing chain housing cover gasket changes without engine removal...I have also accomplished it...the passenger side cover is a PITA as one of the studs diff to reach due to the AC bracket

Talk to Dave at TRE in Van Nuys. Great place and Dave will not BS you. Also, if you track your car, you will recognize Dave's shop - TRE

If you're willing to go to Torrance, Tony Callas would be my recommendation...no question.
