Default New bumper cover, need rivets

Putting a Euro front cover on my car and I have to move all of the sheet metal hardware over including the lower retention strip, fog lamp brackets and flange braces.

All of these were attached with rivets that must be drilled out. Does anyone happen to know what size rivets these are?

Hate to order Porsche replacements if they're a standard size aluminum rivet.

Thanks

Go to Harbor freight buy a blind pop rivet assortment and tool works great. Save one of your old rivets to help pick the replacement. I have removed & replaced and transferred the hardware to a new cover several times, not a big deal. Easy Saturday shade tree project. It is easier to drill out most of the rivets while the bumper cover is still on the car, saves time and effort.

Please go to true value or Home Depot and buy some standard aluminum pop rivets in a few sizes usually around 1/4 in or more and transfer the hardware.
Hoping to buy this stuff from Porsche will likely set you back a small fortune to have german
rivets exported!! Haha

Katalog / PET actually tells you the rivet sizes, for example in the diagram below,

#27 = 3.2 x 7.9 mm
#36 = 3.2 x 9.7 mm
#53 = 3.2 x 7.9 mm

Then convert mm to inches and find the closet matching rivet you can, for example 3.2 mm is pretty close to 1/8". Might be necessary to drill out some existing holes slightly larger.

The exact correct rivets can also be ordered online eg from Sonnen, Sunset, Pelican etc. I got a few odd sized ones fromSonnen and they weren't stupid expensive, #27 & 53 are $0.27 each for example.

Does anyone know if #30 can be replaced without removing the bumper. I replaced a fog light bulb yesterday and managed to break the bottom bolt thing. It was rusty and slightly bent so when I went to tighten in it, it broke!

No, its behind the bumper cover and sits up against the aluminum reinforcement.

Thanks for the info, didn't think to check the PET for sizes.

1/8" was the ticket, found a kit at home depot with three lengths and backing washers, worked perfect.

Ginch, have you come up with a "fix" for your broken stud?

The broken stud is actually the bottom one so tightening up the top stud actually holds the bumperette on quite securely!
