Hardback seats custom made $5.5k

1. Those are not my seats. My seats were never made. That's the problem.
2. This is not some "thing" I do to business owners/craftsman. I have custom ordered many things in my 45 yrs of life and I have never sought a refund before.
3. Waldemar is right that I did my Euros conversion wrong, it was closer to $3k deposit, than $4k deposit at current rates. Apologies for the conversion mistake. He knows what the deposit was, and I have a record of it. But there has been no refund.
4. If my seats are complete, and don't have dynamite strapped to the inside of them, I would still take them. And pay the rest owed. But they are no where in sight 6 months later. So I just want my money back.
5. I have checked my bank account and I have no refund still. Maybe he did it recently and its still processing. I have always said that I will be the first to come on here and indicate that I have a deposit back or seats.
Rudy (Opo) has already done more than enough to help here. Going above the call of duty as always. So far hasn't had effect.
To the poster about how my problem is unique. Maybe it is. I never said it wasn't. And I have never questioned the worksmanship of Waldemar. Our interactions were very positive for about the first 4 months, but went very south over the last 2 months with no seats, no money, and no communications. Rennlisters can judge whether I am making all this up, being unreasonable or not. And whether they want to assume the risk for ordering these seats.
I am glad Waldermar is posting here now, because he is not answering emails sent as recent as last week asking about the refund. Hate to air all this dirty laundry in public space but I guess that's where we are at.
As someone who is also a business owner, may I humbly suggest the following to a new customer - "Dear customer, you should count on 9 months for your seats to be built, you provide a 50% non-refundable deposit to me. The only condition under which I will return that money is if your seats aren't made by the deadline. Otherwise, that deposit is non-refundable. When you provide a status inquiry to me, the response time will be within 1 week". Easy. Done. Solved. You can always beat those estimates, even better. Instead, here we have a commitment of 4 months, and at almost 6 months, no seats, no deposit refund.

So it is a screw up of Mr Sullivan's order or another customer left him hanging with another seat? Boo Hoo. Welcome to business 101.
Especially with all the supposed money he makes on each seat, I can't imagine adapting this seat to another order with adding heated elements to a seat bottom and back after stripping leather seat covers and hardback is that difficult and time consuming.
I know because I DIY a leather seat bottom in my BMW a few years back. It was not that hard and I am sure Waldemar has many trick up his sleeve with doing supposedly hundreds of these yearly.
How about this suggestion if this is not Mr Sullivan's seat? You have 80% of it done. Give this seat core to Mr Sullivan and save whatever miscommunication that took place over the past 6-7 months. This is your chance to make it right Waldemar.

By the way, I have pristine hardback sport seats in my 1998 C2S with 18K miles. The plan was to pull those and bubble wrap them. And use the new ones.
Here's a gratuitous pic to bring things back to 993s
