So the hole in the fan shroud randomly showed up. What what do I need to fix this? How hard is it to replace? Anyone know the part number? Looks tough to replace, time consuming
Car is a 98 C2S

Part will depend on year, lots of threads on this, here's one: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=93689

Burning Brakes
Its a fairly easy DIY, but it did take me a little time fashioning Franken-tools to get the right angles on some of the fasteners. Also I do not have my rear blower installed which made it easier to access.

Search for: fan duct, plastic fan duct, fan shroud (but the shroud really is the metal enclosure)
Here's a few to get you started....(popular topic as you can see.):

Pelican isn't wrong, there are 2 part numbers, a 964 and a 993 number. Both were used on the 993. Best thing to do is just check your car's existing part before ordering.
If you search Pelican under the 964/993 section for "air duct" or "fan shroud", it pulls up the 2 part numbers:
964-106-403-02
Air Duct for Engine Cooling Fan, 964 Carrera 2/4 (1989-94), 993 Carrera/Carrera 4 (1995), 911 Turbo (1996-97)
It also lists it under the same part number, but separately, for use with the RS heater duct, which does NOT work with the 993 part number: Fan Shroud For RS Duct, 993 Carrera/4 (1997-98)
993-106-403-00
Air Duct for Engine Cooling Fan, 993 Carrera/Carrera 4 (1996-98)
