Bump. Anyone?

My maxflow outlets are 2.5" long and it looks like 3.5" more is needed for stock outlet tips.

This is exactly what I have. Not sure what you have there.

This is what I need the outlet to look like.

Update: the Fabspeed adapter situation fell through. Darin at FD Motorsports hooked me up with some extensions. Another set of clamps and donuts and I'm in business. Great customer service from Darin. Can't say enough good stuff.

Alrighty folks, here is what i did with my old Maxiflos.

My C4S came with the old Maxiflos. The were in excellent condition but had too much drone and the tips were not "right".
Rather then sell/liquidate the mufflers, i decided to salvage them by sending them to Fister as they can stage III them.
They turned out amazing. No drone and have a sweet growl to them.

The only issue remaining was the ugly tips. Fabspeed do make a wide oval tip for the new maxiflos but it does not work with the old maxiflos.

I found a set of slightly used fabspeed wide ovals and decided to experiment and fabriate them to the old maxiflos.

We cut/grinded the old tips off the Fabspeed extentions and welded on the the updated Fabspeed tips to the extentions.

The end result was excellent! The fitment is flush and the finish looks factory.

In short, you do not need to find extentions. You can use the existing extentions from the old fabspeed tips. You just need to grind/cut off the old tips. (not like you can use them for anything else anyhow)

The total cost was the Fister III conversion, a set of Fabspeed wide ovals and the labor to cut and weld the tips on.

Not a bad way to salvage the old maxis and the sound is indeed really nice as is the quality of the mufflers and tips.

For comparison You can see the old Fabspeed tip cut off next to the new Fabspeed wide oval tip. You can also see where we cut the extention and installed it on the new wide oval tip.

I was able to get a set of adapters made. A set of clamps, donuts, and extensions later and project complete. I measured the adapters about 1/4 to 3/8" too long, assuming more overlap on the biscuits but I'm still very happy with the results. Tips are FVD double wall. If anyone is interested in the original tips, PM me. They're free.
