That does not look like the same Midnight Blue (H24) that's in my car. See my post #14 above: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...l#post13285948
Still wondering if anyone has had luck finding a matching dye?

as an aside, does anyone know if the oem floor mats for 964/993 in midnight blue is accurate for color matching the original blue carpets?

I ordered the same mats from Suncoast (000-043-152-10-8HP) and they were an extremely close match to the original blue carpet, but not exact. The mats are slightly darker, but don't clash with the carpet or doors.

One option for any one interested down the road, would be to bulk purchase a custom color leather with and without perforations. Make no mistake, this is expensive, but if we purchased enough yards to achieve some economy of scale, then use our own local upholstery shops to re-leather the seats?

Six suppliers and hundreds of samples later, I finally found a color matched leather!!!
I'm going to order a hide to replace a stained seat panel. Let me know if you're interested in buying one also.

brilliant! can it be ordered with perforations too? please let us know who the supplier is, or if it can be ordered by any auto upholstery shop.

I have an email into my supplier about perforations and perf patterns.
Your local upholstery shop should be able to purchase directly from Garrett as long as they establish an account/credit with them.
Garrett also has welts in matching leathers. Www.garrettleather.com

Just looked deeper on Garrett's website and they can do perfs and match both early and current Porsche patterns.
"Perforating may be done in 11 different patterns on any type of Garrett leather, with the exception of Caiman, Wovens, and Sheepskin. All perforating is done in half hide increments with a two week lead-time."
I can't tell you how happy this makes me. It's been an obsession for me for months.

on a related note, does anyone know who sells a midnight blue interior carpet that is a color match from experience, not just from website pictures? I'm thinking about a replacement.

oldman40, I received the two perforation samples from Garrett today. The black leather sample on the left is the perforation pattern called "PORS" on their website and matches the pattern on our 993 seats.
For comparison, the sample on the right is for early Porsche seats and called "EARL" on their website. Hope that helps you order the right pattern!
