RESCHEDULED - June 4th

DC area 993 Rennlisters, we are getting together and country drive on Saturday June 4th. After polling for a reschedule, this is the first available day that works for most people. We polled for a new date here: http://doodle.com/poll/srmmnzsr8ssvihgz

We'll meet up in Manassas at the Battlefield Visitor's Center and run through the backroads out near Warrenton, Upperville, and Middleburg, VA.

Also posted about this on the 993 Rennlisters facebook group, but figured the broader community may want to join.

Glad there's interest! We've had some conversation on the 993 rennlisters facebook group and it looks like Saturday May 21 works for most people, although there are a couple we're sad to miss who have conflicts.

As for the route, one option would be meet in Manassas and head out through Warrenton, Upperville for lunch, and then a bit further north over Mt. Weather.

I have actually. The good bits start in and Warrenton on from there. Just takes a bit to get out into the countryside. I'm open to alterations, but know this one is pretty solid.

Also, I just saw the DEUTSCHE MARQUE German car show is tomorrow at Nottoway Park in Vienna. I'll stop by for a bit in the morning as the weather looks good tomorrow. I went last year and there was a good showing of Porsches.

I've got two buddies not on the forum who are coming also. I've grabbed some reservations for the Hunter's Head Tavern at noon for lunch.

Unfortunately Saturday is now looking like rain! Not again! It's like the pacific northwest over here on the East Coast this Spring. I'll keep an eye on things and we can try to make a judgement call later in the week. Right now it's not looking good, but things can change.
