Agreed Value vs stated value Insurance AMIG whats resonable
I got a agreed value quote from AMIG on both my 993 and 914. I wanted 50000 for my 911 and the 914's 15000 wasn't an issue. After underwriting they came back and said 40000 only on the 993. I paid 33500 for it and had a top end and clutch done recently and parts were 4000. they said labor was could not be included. Do you all think this reasonable???
With the top end new tirres and a couple other odds and ends I"m out the door around 45000 but that's including tax and I"m not sure insurnace companies take tax into consideration.
Should I shop around??
I got a quote from haggerty but it was almost 4 times the amount of amig. I could list the coverages that amig is offering if anyone is that interested. Anyway, let me know what you all think.
PS Great drive last weekend Stace. I look forward to more cruising with you and others in the beautiful pacific northwest!!!

Out of pocket expenses are not important. The market value of your car is what should be the basis for the agreed value on policy. You haven't really provided many details about your car, so maybe the insurance company's estimate is accurate.
I personally wouldn't want my agreed value policy to be written for any more than is accurate.
Get an independent estimate maybe?
Good luck.

+1 on American Collectors. Mine at 60K agreed to value. I looked at others but they could not meet the amounts of coverage I needed to satisfy my umbrella policy. Very reasonable too!
