My daughter delivered our first grandchild today so I took the car for a celebration drive. Awesome day on so many levels.

Car was sitting in the garage at 99,980 miles so I did what any good 993 owner would do. Threw my kids in the car, strapped on the GoPro, and went carving up a canyon while it clicked over 100k. Car loved every minute of it.

I am getting the steering wheel 'centered' after rebuilding the steering rack last week. Almost got it, probably one spline off. I can't adjust this with the tie rods as the two sections were 'pinned' to make steering more sharp. See pinning modification in this forum.

I drove mine to Pelican's, Cookies n Cars in Rolling Hills Estates.
Nice to see a McLaren and the new Acura, NSX; among all the other eye candy that was present...

New steering wheel, airbags and lower dash delete
Mr Bo k, the tie Tod pinning has nothing to do with alignment and or tie rid adjustment if fine correctly. It was/is about removing the flex due to the rubber bushing material inside the tie rod. In fact it would make the steering wheel centering more precise.

Changed the oil and upgraded to Hollow Spoke Turbo Twists with Michelin PSS.
It drives and stops in a straight line, you guys think I should get an alignment? It feels great but I went from 17" Cup II's to 18" twists.
TIA.

Upgraded to hollow spoke turbo twist wheel and Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Love it!

Your new wheels look great. You shouldn't need an alignment just because you changed wheels. Were your tires wearing unevenly on the Cup IIs? If not, then I wouldn't worry about it too much. That being said, Michelins are not inexpensive so if you are at all concerned an alignment is cheap insurance on getting the most out of your tires.

They look great! Get it aligned for a piece of mind. Just my 2 cents!

Thanks guys, I am going to go ahead and get it aligned just to be safe. I am a couple months away from doing the suspension so I'd rather be safe than sorry. Those Michelins aren't cheep! Sorry to hijack the thread, consider my question answered. Thanks as always.
