Hey Guys


I am coming across lots of conflicting information online regarding the color code for Iris Blue. I would like to paint my car this color, but need to confirm the color code, perhaps with someone that actually owns one.
I know there is:


L39U = Iris Blue Metallic (or it is a V instead of a U)

L39N = Iris Blue Pearl Metallic

I want the color of this car:



Can anyone confirm this color code as L39U/V? Maybe post a picture of your car with your exact color code so we can see which paint code is which color? Thanks so much guys!

My 96 car is Iris Blue... Here's my options sticker. I believe it's L39V, (not U).

L39V is Iris Blue Metallic. Depending on the sunlight/shade you will see a hint of purple. I haven't seen the pearl metallic so I can't say if it has the same reflective purple hue. No matter, it's an awesome color.

the color was special for US
exists in 2 shades
Both called Pearl in german
The 39N is named DARK BLUE METALLIC in US
The 39V is IRIS BLUE PEARL
Both exist in three shades, standard - Dark - Dark and Green
IRIS BLUE METALLIC is 1989

Can someone show the difference between Iris Blue Metallic and Iris Blue pearl?

My car is Iris blue metallic. It'd be very interesting to see the pearl version and how it differs.

Is the pearl version more purple?
