I can easily get them anodized but I am not very happy with the results of how the anodizing looks on these and I am looking for a much better solution.

What do you mean by normal titanium?

Anodizing is a normal finish for titanium products inccluding titanium medical inserts etc.

We make medical products and the type of anodizing we use on them is very different because it is a pure grade of titanium. Besides that, black is not a color that is on the titanium anodizing scale and that is the color that most interest people in this discussion. Grade 5 titanium is an alloy made-up of aluminum and vanadium to make it strong so some people use standard aluminum anodizing methods to do this. We have NOT had a good experience with the anodizing as it easily scratches when you put a socket on it.

The solution we are looking for is something that will maintain it's look with abuse as I am sure that is what you would want from our product as well. The last thing that I need is for people to purchase our product and complain that it gets scratched and does not look good.

We will have a black lug bolt available in the future but it will be one that I can be comfortable selling and it will also be a product that you will be happy to own.

It is tough. The one good thing about it is that it forces me to do a better job which will ultimately make my product better.

I need to put a piece of meat on some of these bruises that I have gotten today from the forum.

Is there a concern about using a very hard metal nut on a soft metal wheel causing increased wear on the interface? How does one calculate the torque value as the OE nut is softetal that may be self lubricating?

I recommend using ant-seize to prevent galling which most Porsche owners already do. We also recommend 95 lbs. torque on the nut.

I did not know that , Could this be the reason why 2 of my my titanium nuts dont work anymore?

I highly doubt that. The failure would most likely happen with the stud, not the nut. I would get in touch with whomever titanium lug nut it is that you are using and find out what grade material they used.

I am 100% sure that you are not using one of ours.

Depends on the wheels but I like the Ti open end on the Speedlines, Haven't decided what to use w/ the track Forgelines, rusty steel sort of matches, but I could use black steel or the silver Ti,
