Porsche Titanium Lug Nuts for air-cooled cars

FYI - I believe some of these questions, and many others were answered in this thread back in December: https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-lug-nuts.html

The other thread claims they use type 5 Ti. I found this tidbit on the web from another lug bolt manufacturer:
"Grade 5 Titanium has 94% the yield strength of a metric Grade 10.9 steel fastener and is over 43% lighter."
If true, that says they are almost as strong as steel lug nuts (are they 10.9?) and 60% of the weight. It seems to imply no air tools unless you want them looking ratty in short order.
The main benefit from the other thread is corrosion resistance.

Tensile strength of steel compared to Ti-
Steel (API 5L X65) which is similar to what the factory lug bolts are made from is- Yield (250 MPa) and Ultimate Strength (400 MPa).
Titanium Alloy (6% Al, 4% V) which is basically a grade 5 titanium is- Yield (830MPa) and Ultimate Strength of (900MPa)

The number 1 reason people purchase them from us is because of the price. The second reason is because we ship them for free and have them in stock and the third reason is because we have a no questions asked money back warranty on our products.

We make these nuts ourselves. We are located in Southern California in Torrance. We are located at the Toyota Motor Company USA campus by the Lexus corporate headquarters.

I am assuming you are machining these from bar stock? Do you perform any form of Nitriding or Oxidizing on them after the machining?
