Default Tiptronic rear differential fluid?

One of the items on my long list of winter maintenance is the rear diff fluid change. Did a search but found nothing. Anyone know what fluid or if there's an existing DIY? Thanks

Don't have a tip but I found this. Geolab is referenced so maybe he will chime in.

Thanks for the link, bob! I did some more searching and found gear oil 75/90 a good candidate.

No one else drives a tippy DIY the rear differential?!

I used Royal Purple 75w-90 gear oil. I'll check my notes tomorrow to see if it was 1 or 2 quarts. All the oil specs are listed in your Porsche owner's manual.

Hello, written several brief instances to follow for fellow rennlisters.
I am copy/pasting one here for both tranny and differential:

"Purchase 9 liters of ATF
tiptronic rubber gasket 943 321 123 06 ($15ish)
Filter rubber seal : 943 307 041 00 ($1)

Put car on lift.
Drain Tiptronic Trans oil from the bolt that is rear left on the sump. Take your time, it flows slowly, and
It has to drain all oil from Transmission, radiator and tubing.
Unbolt the sump,
Unbolt the metallic filter
I personally drown the filter in a pan full of diesel fuel for half an hour, since it is washable
Mechanics do not do that, they just make you buy one @ $85ish
I then spray brake cleaner on all Electrovane mechanism above the filter, and then spray compressed air.
Brake cleaner and compressed air at the filter.
Dab with ATF and change the filter small round gasket
Mount filter
clean sump, and magnetic sump plug , change sump gasket, and mount sump.
Fill Tiptronic with ATF, it will take three liters before starting to spill.
Start engine and keep shifter on Park. (yes climb on the lift to start engine)
Continue to fill Transmission, and fill until oil level is at 30* , it will take 4 liters.
Keep engine running a whole 15 minutes from starting point
Check ATF level, top to level at 30*. it will take 1 liter
Tighten the Trans filling plug
Still with engine running, seat yourself on drivers seat.
Apply brake, and Shift from park to R, for 5 seconds
Shift from R to N , and leave the shifter alone.
Check level on Tiptronic, if above 30* no problem, if below Top to 30*
Place Lever whilst braking on P and shut engine

Now the sexual part:
Buy a quart of Differential oil
If you have a LSD Tip, go for XW-90 (by X = 70-75-80 or what have you)
If no LSD, go for the XW - 140
the 140 is sweet for our TIP differential, and attenuates knock and sound, makes the box really homogeneous with differential
the differential is on passenger side of trans, bolted to the right axle
Two huge Hex bolts, one to drain and one to fill.

to drain, you have to start by unbolting the fill plug, not to create vacuum.
Then drain plug, and wait, Diff oil is thick.
Re-bolt drain plug and fill Differential until it spills
it takes 0.9 liters

If you are not a DIY person, and prefer that the shop does it, please print
this, and show it to the person who is going to do the service (Unless it is at the dealer )

good to go
regards "

That sums it up I think.
Any unclear stuff, please let me know

^ Thanks George. I found this same post over the weekend on another thread. Thanks for pasting it again here. How do I find out if my tippy is LSD or not?

M224 on hood Sticker or VIN lookup
M224 although Active Brake Differential,
I read in After Sales Training somewhere that with ABD, they advise the 90
without, you could go with thicker 140
I used 140
