I will say this, though. I can personally vouch for their leather work and stitching based on 4-5 wheels I've touched and examined. I've never seen their carbon fiber and have no idea of quality or longevity. Nor do I know pricing for it.
nile, i can, and will vouch, for the quality of their CF work. posts #22 & #23 in the thread below.

Good to hear that, guys, for those looking for carbon fiber look. I just tend to be conservative and err on the side of caution if I have not seen/touched/used the product myself.

Thanks!

Looks like we're easily hitting 10 wheels in this group. Let's see what transpires by middle of next week as far as final number.

Was just wondering the same. Check out this thread with responses and link to photo of plastic airbag cover from 911Pervy. Looks doable. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...e-air-bag.html

Why are you trying to corner the market on 3 spokes? You trying to be Opo when you grow up?

great. i can see that an airbag to europe would obviously be air freight so tougher than shipping to Dallas. It seems both shops do great work.

I wondered too just how difficult it is to remove and return the cover of the airbag...I'll wait to hear pricing from Poland (strong dollar!).
thanks again everyone...

I can only buy parts not complete cars like Opo and not rich enough to blow multiple M3 engines in a season like you.

I've checked USPS and was unpleasantly surprised at the fact that shipping rates have gone up quire a lot. So I made a correction to the initial post. Shipping a single wheel will cost closer to $60-65. Shipping a pair will probably cost about the same, $65, so it's a better deal. We'll see what we can possibly combine for shipping to Poland, but, all in all, I believe the total will still be very reasonable, somewhere in $250 or below range with shipping both ways counted in. The final will depend on your level of customization, but with discount we're getting it should fit into those parameters.

I'm still awaiting possible airbag recovering price. And am still advising against it.

Yeay for weak Euro

No need to ship the entire airbag to Poland, Just ship the cover, it's very easy to take off.

Care to share how?

Edit: here is a youtube link for another airbag removal except 3 spoke airbags do not have the rivets.

https://youtu.be/f1BF8GOcBK4

That being said. The crest appears to be the place where the airbag cover splits and allow the airbag to inflate. What would the Poland factory do in their recovering job to keep the function the same?

From previous discussions, I understand their coverings use the same method as a factory leather covering. The center leather panel with the crest is not actually stitched to the surrounding leather, it's glued. So, just like with the factory leather airbag cover, it separates along that seam when the airbag deploys.

I recall someone posted a detailed process to remove the cover from the airbag about a year ago - but I can't find that thread via search. Anyone have that link?

I believe that thread is mention in this thread But... you can see my apprehension with airbag re-covery.

Don't have the pricing answer yet on airbags, BTW, waiting for it.

That is just mean spirited. I have high hopes for this engine to stay together, fingers crossed.

Maybe I'll let you send one of your 3 spokes for me to get all prettied up to Poland, if you nice.

No matter what you say or do, we are not sending M3 engines to Poland. Or any of Opo's collection for that matter.
