Los Angeles owners... where do you store your cars?
My 1997 993 sits in a one-car garage. My daily driver, a 991, gets parked on the street.
I am thinking of getting another air cooled 911, but I will not park it on the street.
I live on the west side of LA... any ideas?
I'm considering looking into monthly office parking nearby...

Same problem here in NorCal. I'm planning on putting a lift in my garage to solve it. There are a couple of local car storage facilities but they're rather expensive for what they provide.

Don't ever park any air cooled outside in West LA. To many horror stories of cars getting stolen in that area. Santa Monica airport rents out hangers. Get a couple of buddies together.

^^ I believe there have been recent changes to what you can put in an airport hanger. It has to be an airplane or airplane related to be in the hanger. I don't think you can just fill up a hanger with cars (I don't know how Seinfeld does it, though...). Considering there are usually waiting lists for guys who want to store their plane in a hanger, I feel this is fair (and so does the FAA, apparently).

they're cracking down on the car storage thing at the airports. they want planes because landing fees.
I live by the beach, parking sucks
i have a 2 car garage at home, a very small 2 car garage.
and I scored a 2 car stand alone garage behind a small apt building 5 mins walk from my house. porsches + wife stay in garage, cayenne parks on street.
I know of car storage space down in the OC, and a few of us are working on some ideas for getting some real space for cars.

A guy with a bunch of cars in a hanger isn't contributing to the airport as a whole (other than paying his rent).

To further complicate our parking issues in SoCal, be sure you review your insurance contracts. Don't want to have any issues should something happen in another garage.

First off, leaving a Porsche on the street in the West Side, Santa Monica, Hollywood, etc is rolling serious dice for theft or vandalism. You comfortable with that? ...particularly with reports of 993s getting jacked?!! Just a couple of months ago I saw a Vette (a C5, and nothing all that special) on blocks relieved of its wheels ...and this in a decent area! Been an Angelino in various areas for all my life and nice cars doing the vanishing act has only gotten worse.
Secondly, like in NY, the Bay area, or living in any other dense metropolis, you'll be paying a premium just so your car can sit ...unused! I suppose those with lots of discretionary dough are fine with this heady expenditure for a seldom-driven car, but if were you I'd exchange that opportunity cost for saving for a proper house that can house all the cars you want ...and buy according to your eventual car wishes. Either this or consider real estate, 401k, travel fund, or anything else, particularly when you already have a 993 and 901.
I seriously doubt this is the opinion you were looking for, but heck, it's the internet, and you did ask

I live down in the south bay LA and had to rent a space for my 993 at public storage because we were re-doing our kitchen and needed my garage spot to store all our furniture, kitchen gear, etc.
it's a 10x30 space and I paid around $500 month -brutal but did not want to leave my car out even for one night. Too many idiots, thieves around.
if you are not driving the car that much your battery might drain if you can't keep it on a trickle charger. The public storage does not come with and electrical outlet.
My wife thinks I'm crazy to have paid that much , but it took a long time to be able to buy a Porsche so I want to keep it as nice as I can.

I had success with this solar battery maintainer whilst in a carpark that had some natural light. Imagine it would also work with other lighting. There are ones about half the size, however, I wanted the 5W version. I just rested it on the rear shelf as it doesn't come with suction cups. Didn't want the marks on the rear window anyway. Saw the idea in one of Harry's Garage videos where he parks his 600SL in the south of France with a hole cut in the car cover to expose the solar panels.
Success defined as not driving car for periods of two weeks or more and it starting straight away each time. Make sure to get one that protects against reverse battery drain.

I feel the pain, i have 3 cars and only 2 garage spaces. Currently renting a storage unit for $200/mo where i keep the track car. I cant quite bring myself to sell the car yet but i know its probably the smart thing to do. $2400 every year down the drain!
