Exchange Rate and Carnewal
If you haven't looked at Gert's website at Carnewal lately, based upon current exchange rates you might want to consider shopping here first. I just purchased another great car cover from Gert - cost only $250.00 US and was in stock and at my house in three business days.
Carnewal's Motor Sound Box is presently only $101 US Dollars http://www.carnewal.com/products/P93...irfilter-Cover - compared to Suncoast at $129.95 US. http://www.suncoastparts.com/category/9934S_air.html
Great products, great service, and now a great price. No affiliation.

Always have had a good experience with Gert, the good exchange rate just sweetens the deal.

I took advantage of the exchange rate and ordered some OEM Hi-Fi speakers for my 993 several weeks back.
About two weeks later I receive a bill for customs fees and duties tax from FEDEX.
Having not ordered internationally, I didn't factor that into the price. It appears to be about 10% of the total value.
I assume this is standard, and is some percentage of the total cost, not a flat fee correct?

Yes, I should have mentioned this as I have also received an occasional customs/duties fee from FedEx when ordering from Carnewal. It's modest, roughly 5%, and typically limited to metal goods for some reason. Not an issue with the car covers as I recall, but I got hit with a fee when I ordered a tool kit.
The car cover is first rate, and fits over the fixed wing like a glove.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I ordered my suspension from Gert about 3 years ago and paid about $50 in customs fees. Even with that, it was the best price at the time. C'est la vie!

Ordered PSS10 kit for my '96 C4S (SUV ride) from Gert several weeks ago, went out to Brentwood to see Darin at FD Motorsport for a great install. Below, alignment being done at Custom Alignment in Mtn. View. Joe Silva giving pointers to tech. Yeah, there was a $70 bill from FedEx and a bank exchange rate fee but still came out looking good.!

I just bought a bunch of Porsche Motorsport parts from Gert, got it in no time and paid about 2/3 of what I'd pay here. He is great to work with. $54 customs fee, was still a huge bargain.

Is this a custom fit for a 993 w/ fixed tail?, what is the material lying on the paint?
