PPI IN St. Louis
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a reliable place to do a PPI on a 1995 993 in the St. Louis area. I was told by the Porsche of St. Louis that they are no longer doing this service, as of this week!
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Do not contact Reid Vann. That would be the wrong move. Long story short I was going to buy a car from Reid Vann. It had all types of issues he never disclosed to me. Crazy how a guy with so many years in the business would do something like that. PM me for more details and who to use.

I would suggest Exotic Motors Midwest. They have a great service facility. Ask for Dale Robbins, he runs the service department. And for many years prior to that he was the Porsche Service writer at the Porsche Dealer. He knows his stuff.

Has anyone ever purchased a car from motoexotica, or have had a PPI done at GLB Motor works, or Auto Evaluators, in the St. Louis area? I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks in advance, and Happy Thanksgiving.

Bumping this old thread, can someone share with me their experience with MotoExotica?
Also, is there a recommended place to get a PPI done if I do buy a car from motoexotica? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear you've had an unsatisfactory experience. From reading past Schmitt advertisements, they seem to be familiar with hyperbole.
Search various forums, check Yelp, post here or other auto forums to request first-hand feedback from people who have dealt with the Schmitt organization. While there are some very positive reviews, there are also many "1 star" posts, a red flag, and not much in between. If buying a higher end car, especially remotely, doing due diligence on the seller (as well as the car) is important.
