Here's a couple more interesting reads on the koni's which I don't think I've seen linked on rl, but maybe they are.
Tire rack review, not a 993 but interesting nonetheless.

review against other spring/shock set ups (not against pss)

This is the setup that I'm considering after emailing Gert. Glad to hear you like it 'cos I bet I have similar roads down here in Austin. Perhaps I can hit you up for a ride if I'm in your area or if you are ever down this way!

Once you get West and S of Austin you get some nice / average blacktop heading into the hill country. You also have that nice tollroad 130 which is as smooth as glass and 85mph?!? speed limit. The rest of the city was just like here, sorry! But sure, if you are headed up here shoot me a pm and we'll go for a ride.

Gert
I just ordered and thanks for the post. Since my Targa is all stock, I wanted to keep the shocks close. I second all positive feedback about Gert Carnewal. Very responsive and helpful. And the pricing seems very reasonable. Can't wait to loose these 20 year old stock shocks😀😀

My car came with the PSS9 and despite tinkering with that set up for almost 3 years at multiple ride heights (from RS to RS+10 to ROW sport) with more $ in alignments (at 2 different well regarded local indy shops)than the Koni /M033 kit cost, I could never get it ‘right’ to me. It did improve with each height change and alignment though. But while the Pss9’s excelled in cornering, at all the heights, zero complaints there, what was wrong was I could never completely eliminate the dartiness or tramlining effect on straight line average roads. For good to excellent roads, I didn’t have that issue. An example is if I tried to pass another car (in a legal passing area!) of an otherwise narrow winding country road – the car was not confidence inspiring.

Anyone have any comments or experience comparing the FSD to the Koni Sports? I searched and it looks like there isn't a whole lot of info on the Sports and no good comparisons between the FSD and Sports.

Just had my setup finally done after owning the M033 springs and FSDs for about 2.5 years. At the same time, I added one of Gert's front protection bars as the roads / aprons here in CT aren't that gentle. Final touch was a set of BBS RS-GT in 18x8 and 18x11 from Damon at Tire Rack with Sumis in 225/295.
Alignment:
Front;
Toe 1 mm in
Camber -0.7
Caster +5.1 / 5.3
Rear;
Toe 1.5 mm In
Camber -1.4
Weight 586 / 600
952 / 958
Extremely happy with the setup!

Ron, is your ride height similar to JB's (Front is at 144 rear 127 from factory measuring points)? JB also mentioned that his car was less "darty" with 17's vs. 18's. Since I have 18's on my car like you do, has your setup also helped eliminate or reduce dartiness and tramlining?

I don't know the measured ride height other than I asked for ROW, which I believe is 154 / 147.
Don't know about darty or tramlining. My set up is wonderful.

Ric, my dartiness was an issue with my old set up. With the Konis I am running 18"s like Ron, no dartiness.
Ron, your car looks great! Thanks again for sharing your alignment info with me. I'm very close you your numbers. I did not corner balance. That's pretty impressive though how balanced yours came out considering the rears are non adjustable. You have a good indy!

Auto Associates of Canton and Scott mentioned the fronts (threads) were all the way down and everything leveled and balanced just right.
Almost forgot to mention the Fister 2 with wide ovals and everything including new hardware in ceramic black. Sounds, drives, and looks great now.

Was planning on this set-up too. But what's this about "harsh" at slow speeds?
After talking with Gert, he says it's the best choice, for daily driver's. Other articles report ride quality better than OEM set up. How harsh? Other' with this set up please chime in! Planning on placing order next week.
