Yea, I think Wasatch does a great job, they will take good care of her.

Yea that is my best guess as well. A little bloody and bruised but should heal.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Nice to have some moral support from fellow enthusiasts.

Glad you're OK. The hit looks to be right at the end of the unibody rails and involves the rear Qtr panel. You may want a third party expert to look over the car for unibody geometry issues as if there is an issue I would look for a total wreck as the car will never be as tight as it was before the impact. Body shops love billable work so have someone not quoting the job give you their assessment.

Sorry to see those pics, but glad everyone is OK. Hope it will be repaired to your satisfaction.
Being rear-ended by a distracted driver is becoming more and more prevalent these days, unfortunately.

Thanks to idiots talking or texting on cell phones.

I've been on the receiving end already.

The way I understand this "process" is that you will only come out "ahead" if the car is totalled. you get reimbursed for full market value and you buy it back for "pennies on the dollar" and fix yourself. Even if it's repaired satisfactory, I don't believe you will be compensated for "diminished value."

That's unfortunate, but you can rebuild it and make it better! Glad you were not seriously injured.

Fortunately you will be ok and the car will be restored. Choose your repair facility wisely.

I have been rear ended twice from distracted drivers. One driver was a NYS Judge no less! It is getting worse, not better and I now fear riding my bike on roads for that reason.

yea, I have been thinking about those possibilites as well. Her insurance is going to the body shop to look at it today. We will see.

Interesting approach...depending on what that "market value" ends being agreed on and the sale price of the salvaged car. If you end up fixing it, you will have salvaged title instead of just an accident on the carfax, if any. No?

Same thing happened to the PO in my car, also IN UTAH.

Light turned green, lady took her foot off the brake, and rolled her SUV into this one. This little bit was $15k of damage because of the parts. $5,500 for the rear wing, and the PO says that it's the very last one made by Porsche. He says that when they called Porsche in Germany, they said that there was one remaining.

Sorry to see this, nothing makes me more angry than watching people distracted or texting while they drive, I see it every morning on my way to work, seems its only getting worse.

I just got my car back from the shop, someone backed into me in a parking lot. I was stopped yielding to another car and the driver starting backing out (I was honking/yelling out my window) didn't make a difference, right into my driver side rear quarter panel.

Best part they tried to tell me it was my fault, they didnt see me, "I must have been moving behind them" I took pictures of the scene, the truck, which had backup sensors, a backup camera, not a tough case to close.. even with all that crash proof tech still people are distracted and not thinking while driving.

Anyways, I was quite upset, but as others have said, as long as everyone is fine its just a car, lots of great shops to repair them properly.
