Now that I'm a member I can finally post a photo of my new car
Hi - I'm a new member to the forum (been lurking for awhile) and have already sucked up a lot of information from reading the various threads. I've had some Porsches in the past. A 67 coupe in the mid 80's and then 80 and 87 Targas in the mid to late 90's. Always wanted a 993 and recent events have allowed me to finally buy one back in July which I found here in the classifieds.
A few details:
1996 Carrera 2 Tip with about 45K miles when I purchased it. Navy interior with 12-way power driver and passenger seats. It came with the MY02 wheels, Fister Stage III, and aluminum gauge trim.
Possible Future Modifications (from reading some threads here):
Carnewal FPB - which recently arrived
Probably the Spoiler and maybe the Wiper mods (though this last one looks like a bit of a pain)
Maybe swap out the CDR-210 (not happy with radio reception) for a Continental CD unit (CDD7418UB-OR)
And the big ticket item: Lowering to ROW specs. After chatting with Gert, I'm thinking M033 with either Koni FSD or Bilstein B8's.
A friend who's a fashion photographer wanted to experiment shooting my car. For the final shoot, he mentioned that he might bring some scantly clad girls along!
