Default Would Cup 1's fit on a 993 NB?

Would 964 Cup 1's fit? or the 965s? I found these on craigslist and it got me thinking... http://houston.craigslist.org/pts/5244802894.html

I don't think so, but these will (no affiliation):

Default Yes

Yes, I used them on my 964 C4 and they worked well. Very similar to the 993. You'll need spacers to look ideal though..

That is also a good price as long as they are true and straight. I paid $800 to have mine refinished with the Porsche Silver and sanded down so surface was also smooth.

Good luck!

Thanks guys, the reason why I ask is because they are my favorite wheels.. I actually don't fine cup 2s attractive at all, but cup 1s are really simple and clean looking

Sure. Can't find a picture of a different set on the faux RS, but my fastest laps ever were on Cup 1s with a magical set of Hoosiers way back when.

(For the snow tires on the 4S, I just use a 3/4" spacer with the comically narrow 235's out back. 215's up front.)

Ken, do you have spacers on the RS?

No, the narrow body cars are just bolt up with the 7.5 or 8" up front, 9" rear. Usually ran a Toyo RA1 235 front, 275 rear. Hoosiers were a "narrower" nominal 225/255, but end up giving more contact patch.

Cup 1s have become quite rare and expensive these days. So the price of the set in the CL listing is quite good actually, even if they have to be refinished. Those are the Turbo sizes so even better!

BTW, Ken, the wheels on the C4S in the photo are replicas so the offsets are slightly different.

I've got a total mix and match between 3 sets of replica 7.5 + 9, and a couple of sets of RS America 7 +8.

As long as you run the reps on one side of the car and the OEMs on the other you should be OK!

Just the OE 8s up front @ 52mm, replica 9s rear @ 47. But back in the track days it could have been 7.5 or 8 up front--just depended on tire management.

Funnyism is that I let RS America #2 go way back when with some OK looking Kinesis wheels. Never thought there would be the day when keeping the OE wheels was the smart move.

OE 8s up front @ 52mm, replica 9s rear @ 47.
That's how my RSA was set up.

Cup 1s were a dime a dozen 10 years ago, I went through a number of sets... But so were longhoods and 4-cams, and...
