What a beauty. Your persistence with the seller really paid off. I think offering to come pick it up in person and drive it away was important.
Congrats and enjoy!

I had a '96 993 Carrera like yours. Bought it with 25k miles on it and sold it with 100k back in 2006 ... and still regret selling it. This care gets into your blood and it will always be with you. A rock-solid mechanical piece of candy. Enjoy every ride and run up the miles....

Gorgeous car and congrats on finding such a fine example and rare color. Must say I'm a bit jealous of the color as I just got back into a 95 Poloar silver last month after selling my 88 491 cab in 07. I love my silver car, but am partial to rare colors and grays. Drive her in good health and enjoy.

What a splendid looker --- and the suspension seems to have already been addressed. Welcome to the gang!
Here are two suggestions to help you down the slippery slope in an easy way -
Painting the inside of the foglight lenses silver
Engine Sound Pad Pad Keeper

OP...
Did you happen to be driving towards the "tunnel of trees", climbing the hill up M119 at Harbor Springs, on 9/26 Saturday afternoon, around maybe 6-ish?!
If so, this is an awesome coincidence.
I have been looking at 993s, and been on the fence, because I already have too many cars.
My family and I were driving through the tunnel of trees on that day, and I was thinking to myself what a perfect road to enjoy a 993, when almost at that moment, a dark grey one in immaculate condition passed me going the other way, into the direction of the tunnel.
My wife saw my reaction to seeing the car, and that glimpse was what it took to make our decision.
I am now working out final details with a seller, should be a 993 owner myself soon.
So... If that was you, hello and thank you!
What a small world.
