Default What should I do with my RUFs?

I'm about to put my Euro Turbo bumper, Bilstein HD/M030, and fresh rotors on Broomhilden (my 993). It's sitting on RUF 18s right now but I kind of want to move onto some lighter wheels. There's a scrape on the right rear wheel from parallel parking in the city, but I'm having that done this week. I was thinking about 18in Turbo Twists in bronze, Enkei MT03-Ms, or OZ Alleggerita HLTs in black. Thoughts?

I'm a big fan of the RUF wheels. Didn't realize they were the heavy. Can't beat look of turbo twists, and if you can source some NB hollow spokes you will have some light, nice wheels

I've got a set of Allegerita HLT's, black with polished rim and like them very much. Very light setup and affordable. Considered Enkei's but the OZ's are a bit lighter. I'd hang onto the Ruf's. They are really nice unless you are over them. If so I think you'd have little trouble selling them.

Authentic 18" Rufs are in high demand. You will have no problem unloading them.

Of the 3 options you listed I would go with hollow turbo twists.

Thanks for the insight guys! I love the look of the RUFs but I do lust for a light feeling when driving. I really want the car done by the beginning of November so I have to act fast haha.

if you're thinking about the turbo twists and want weight savings, find a set of hollow twists. They're about five pounds lighter per wheel than the solid twists.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Porsche did make hollow spokes for the 993 NB, right? Also, what do you think the market value on RUF 18s are?

Enzo,
NB hollow spokes were optional but are becoming fairly rare. I was lucky to source a set but paid good money and need to have them refinished. I believe part numbers are:
993.362,136.00 for 8" front with et 52
993.362.140.01 10" rear with et 65

Not sure what RUF's are selling for these days

Thank you Waizone, I've found a couple of sets on ebay but was surprised by the price.. I may just keep these RUFs unless I can decide on an alternative. Any suggestions? I am also considering MY02s

I agree totally, the RUFs are indeed boat anchors!

Hollow spoke turbo twists, would be a great replacement or MY02's I believe are even lighter than the twists. If tracking, I like the Alleggerita HLTs.

$3500-$4K depending on condition etc. The 18's are pretty rare nowadays.

I just got a set of hollow twist 996 wheels (identical to the photo you posted) for a C2 WB I have. Those are cheap alternative to 993 Turbo twist hollow spoke wheels and are the same concept or "design idea".

I'm not entirely sure if the 996 Turbo Twists will fit on mine (it's a nb)
