I would like to know as well - we are Out of Country Buyers - I do not believe there should be.
At $15K does this include a New PCNA Motosports Mainshaft and LSD lol

A good friend of mine who used to own and run an independent Porsche repair shop in Germany called these guys "a bunch of crooks". Don't remember the details but whatever he purchased didn't meet his expectations and he wasn't a happy camper...
However, just do your due diligence and be aware. Another source for gear boxes/engines is Albert Motorsport in Oberhausen:

Doesn't look like they have a G50/31 in inventory but I'm sure they can source one, maybe for less than $15K (or was that EUs...?)
Best!

Freisinger's reputation seems to come mainly from his extraordinary price (rip of) list...
In regards to VAT something wired happens (at least in Germany tmk); if you buy as individual car related parts and want to bring them out, you don't get a refund for the VAT anymore (airport customs would not stamp your papers). Might also apply for shipments now.
Since 2 years I always buy on my (none EU) company address explicit stated in the invoice, then i get the necessary stamps on the airport and no problem with refund, which would be refunded through the seller after sending him the stamped papers. For shipments i use since than only company address and the seller does not has to charge you for VAT. If Freisinger would still charge VAT, it would be another rip off.

VAT
I bought an 8" carrera cup II rear wheel (winter use) for my 4S off ebay.de.
The seller didn't have to pay VAT on an out of country transaction so I was not charged VAT.
Shipping was not cheap though, and made up for the lack of VAT.

I visited freisinger on one of my trips over there. While they had some cool toys (including some race cars sitting outside with water in them getting ruined), they were a-holes. They have a huge collection of rare parts and I think they charge ridiculous prices for them to everyone, even Porsche themselves. My friend over there has bought some stuff from them in the past.

Three Wheelin'
I had to buy a rare racing part from freisinger once and it was grossly over priced. They should not charge VAT if sold to a US business and it must be shipped to that address. They have to charge VAT if sold to a private person regardless of location. Went through this with a financial colleague over there when buying a bunch of bodywork.
