Factors to be aware of when buying low mileage 993
Is there a minimum number of miles per year average that a 993 should be driven so as to keep everything lubricated and for acids corrosion and like not to build up in the combustion chambers? By way of example could an 18 year old 993 Have potential problems mechanically if it had only been driven has been driven a total of 2000 miles in 18 year.? Are other things to be concerned with on a low mileage 993 items such as oil gearbox hydraulic fluids be changed yearly regardless of mileage driven during the past year and also should the car be driven using ethanol mix or 100% gasoline if available?

^^^ This!
If you're planning to use the car, don't buy a super low mile car.
Having said that, mine had a little less than 4k miles when I bought it last fall and it's bone dry and runs beautifully. The PO drove it regularly, just not very far. In other words, it didn't sit for any extended period. I've put 1,600 miles on it since then and it's been flawless.
Were I in the market for a different 993, I'd be looking for a no-stories car with low (less than 50k, ideally) miles but not super-low, serious investment grade miles. I don't love having to be mindful of the odometer. I do, on the other hand, love the experience of having, effectively, a new 993.

I'm no expert
But I would think a higher mileage car would have had a lot of things kept up and updated
And multiple owners would have done this every time it changed hands.
I just bought mine with 170k miles. And I am very impressed with how solid it still is. Leaks oil. But that's it. New rear axels. Clutch and who knows what else was done. Didn't have any paper work. Plus the price for low miles is crazy right now. Higher miles seem harder to find for sale.

I'd say 1500 miles per year minimum. Less than that you don't really know the true condition of the car.
There's a lot of parts that decay over 20 years whether you drive the car or not. The 2kmile garage queen needs all that work done before you can safely drive the car.
Its all in the documentation I guess but I don't see a high premium for low miles cars
...if you want to drive it.

I've owned at least a dozen very low mile collector cars over the years and outside of some very minor oil leaks...nothing! Just bought a 25 year old Harley with 6,200 miles - nothing! These threads drive me nuts as most who comment have never had a low mile car

My comment was more about the mind state of the presumed owner and their need to keep the car low miles. honestly our cars are not what we would call daily drivers i drove mine about 4k miles last year due to driving it across country from virginia to seattle and to canada twice from seattle.
