I could not care less.

I've had a passion for Porsches since I was 10 years old and I didn't buy one to flip or as an investment. Life is short.

That would have been the cheapest clean title turbo sale I've ever seen. I paid $10k more in 2009 and that was a steal.

Soooooooo tired of ALL the "value" bull****. Takes all the fun out of it. If the 993 "market" (puke) keeps going the way it has, I WILL be selling one of mine. Only makes financial sense. Sad.
yup.

I bought mine in spring of 2012 within 3 hours of FS posted on RL. It is Mark D's old car with 92K miles and paid $10K more with a line of people behind me if I didn't want it. Granted it came with 2 sets of seats and one being 993 sports so that would bring the cost basis down to the high $40s..

I'm back to daily driving mine...still worth less than the purchase price of most of the F350 Everything's that line the lot at work.

Looks like it'll fit in the bed of them too.

Enjoying every moment of it, with the new hip and all.

I could give a **** what the market does, or doesn't do to my 993; my P-car is my passion. My portfolio however, is another matter...I keep telling myself, markets go up and down all the time.

If you want to see the value bull**** meter peaked at full scale get hold of a magazine called Sports Car Market and you will puke. Everything in their screed is all about ownership to dick wave while you make money displaying your car in shows, but don't drive the car because putting dreaded "miles" on a car is considered a criminal offense

Default Market Meltdown - Good or Bad for Classic 993 Prices?/

With 128k miles and a rebuilt title, I have no reason not drive mine. I may be one of those guys who puts half a million miles on their car. We'll see...

I hope to only buy Porsches and never sell them. All this market b.s. Does is give me fodder for discussions with friends who have always wanted a Porsche so they can convince their wives.
