I also have the M033+KoniFSD combo and I love it. There was some concern or other about it not fitting at the time but it proved to be groundless and its great.

Comfortable and sporty.

I'm using FSDs with ROW M030s, part of a full refurb & upgrade from the stock / standard suspension. At first the ride seemed a bit harsh, perhaps because of the upgrade aspect. But after a few hundred kilometer break-in, the ride is great, even on post-winter frost-heaved and potholed Canadian roads. Handling on the track is a vast improvement too, but the old shocks were toast so I guess that's no surprise.

The M033's, IMHO are to compliant if you are looking for more of a sports ride in a sports car.

For my own curiosity, why did the mechanic choose Koni and not Bilstein?

Agree. I just bought these shocks and M033 Springs from Bert Carnewal (Google Carnewal). Paid $1100 for everything and he shipped from Belgium received in less than one week. They are definitely a street set up and very pleasant for street driving. Had them installed at 10 hours labor and I love the look and ride.

And so does ROW M030, as said before, Carnewal offer FSD with either M030 or M033 as a kit.
