1996 Porsche 993 CUP 3.8
No affiliation ... rats.
http://www.coys.co.uk/auction.php?it...2&auctionID=56
Estimate: €220,000 - €270,000
Registration Number: TBA
Chassis Number: WPOZZZ99ZTS398075
This superb Porsche 993 Cup racer was delivered on 26th March 1966 to Kadach-Tuning Racing team, and competed in the 'Carrera Cup', most often with Danny Pfeil at the wheel. Between 1999 and 2001 it was with Stefan Gertsch of Switzerland, who also campaigned it in Porsche Cup races (see ONS papers for further details).
In 2001, 8075 was bought by Racing Porsche specialist Manfred Freisinger, who thoroughly restored it; an extensive photo-documentation of this work can be seen on the Freisinger Motorsport website. During this restoration, the car was resprayed back to its original white livery/
In 2010 the current vendor purchased the car, and it has since competed in the 2011/2012 Porsche Club Historic Challenge.
In 2012 the car departed the racing scene and was once again completely rebuilt and resprayed (this time in 'beru blue'), with the stickers it bears today. Its mileage is now in the region of 24,000 kilometres.
The technical specification of 8075 is documented in a ten-page expert report by Classic Data, which is available in the car's file. Said to be race ready again and presented in good to excellent overall condition, and not to mention the ever-increasing value of such models, this now historic and sought after Porsche racer could definitely be a front runner again in the right hands and as such is not to be missed.

It's hard to comprehend how absolutely insane you have to manage any of the factory race cars when you're consistently running at the pace you need to run in a pro series.
