Hey folks, my first SMOG check and vehicle registration with my 993 is coming up and presuming it passes SMOG, I'd like to celebrate with a custom license plate. I've been messing with the DMV specialize plate configuration tool and so far I've come up with these options.

1. HOT 993 (My dad used to have "HOT911S" on one of his cars)
2. HOT 911
3. 1995 993
4. MY95 993 (kind of a fun play on My and Model Year)
5. CALL 911
6. 993 FUN
7. FUN 993

I'm open to other fun suggestions as well, provided you ran them through the DMV tool and they weren't already taken.

Personally, I'm not a fan of vanity plates with "my", "hot", "nice" etc in them. They seem too self-serving to me. I guess I'm generally not a fan of vanity plates period, although some that are clever and show some imagination can be OK. Bottom line, its your car, and like color choice, get what YOU like.

I don't understand the obsession with vanity plates, especially the generic ones which refer to the make and model. As if it wasn't clear it was a 911.

If you're gonna do it, and I don't suggest you do, at least make it creative.
