How did this happen?? Hole in plastic-housing next to fan hub!
I just popped the engine hood to discover this?!
1) Is it common due to old brittle plastic?
2) Is it safe to drive it (to the mechanic)?
3) Is it a big operation to fix it?

3. Super easy, three screws and new part and yer done
You want the post-95 version part number, position 5 below, M64/21 or 22 is varioram

Thanks for the quick replies.
I actually did search because I remember seeing similar pictures previously, but I remember it beging a different part (tube-shaped). I'll try harder the next time guys!
